I was engaged to assist in the development of a scheduling application for a linear accelerator. The application made use of the Adobe Flex and a purchased calendar UI framework. The purpose of the application was to allow the scientists to schedule experiments that make use of the x-ray light source, which is called a beam. The application also made use of BlazeDS, Adobe Action Script and Java. The application's persistent data is stored in an Oracle 10g database. Hibernate was used as a persistence framework. The application was developed using Eclipse with the Adobe Flex developer plug-in.
